How to Activate an LIC Credit Card

You can activate your credit card from LIC Cards by visiting the website or logging into the mobile application of the respective partner bank. 

For credit cards co-branded with Axis Bank:

You can follow the below process on the Axis Bank’s app:

  1. Open the application 

  2. Navigate to the ‘Credit Card’ Section

  3. Tap on the ‘Unbox’ button 

  4. Tap on the ‘Next’ button and set usage limits

  5. Tap on the ‘Set OTP to set PIN’ option

  6. Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile

  7. Tap on the ‘Verify’ button and set a PIN for your new credit card to complete the process

For credit cards co-branded with IDBI Bank:

All the chip cards are already activated if IDBI Bank sends it through Blue Dart. However, you will have to activate one if you get it from Speed Post. To activate these cards, you can contact the following customer care numbers:

Closure of an LIC Credit Card

To discontinue using your LIC credit card, you can follow these steps:

  1. Understand that closing your credit card means you can no longer use it for purchases.

Practices of LIC Cards Regarding Defaults and Overdues

LIC Cards will send regular reminders to settle any outstanding amounts on your credit card account. These may be sent via post, phone, email, SMS, or through third parties. Any third party appointed will follow the applicable Code of Conduct for debt collection.

 

If you repeatedly fail to pay within 3 days of the due date, you may be added to the defaulter list, and your credit card facilities could be suspended. Removal from this list will depend on full payment of dues and is reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
