Union Bank of India Credit Card Cash Withdrawal Charges

This is another charge levied amongst the various types of Union Bank of India Credit Card fees. You can use this card to withdraw cash in case of a cash crunch. However, you can only withdraw amounts up to the specified withdrawal limit of your card.

  • 3% of the amount withdrawn subject to a minimum of ₹200

  • Interest of 2.5% per month from the date you withdraw until you clear the payment

Union Bank of India Credit Card Forex Charges

Also called a foreign transaction charge or foreign currency mark-up fee, this fee is levied by card issuers on all transactions in foreign currencies. This charge is also applicable when you make purchases using your card with foreign merchants or native merchants registered abroad.

 

Note that you must pay a Goods and Service Tax (GST) of 18% on all foreign transaction fees. To comprehend this better, study the following hypothetical example. 

 

If the mark-up fee on your card is 2.5% for a transaction of ₹20,000, the amount you must pay will be ₹500. After adding the GST, which is 18% of ₹500, the total sum will be ₹590 (₹500 + ₹90).
