The Income Tax PAN Services Unit of NSDL is where you can submit your NSDL PAN card application. Use these simple steps to submit an online PAN application:
Step 1: To apply for a new NSDL PAN card, go to the NSDL website (https://www.onlineservices.nsdl.com/paam/endUserRegisterContact.html).
Step 2: Decide whether you want to apply for a new PAN for Indian nationals, a PAN for foreigners, or to update or rectify current PAN data.
Step 3: Choose your category, such as an individual, a group of people, an association of people, etc.
Step 4: Complete the NSDL PAN card form by entering all the necessary information, including your name, email address, date of birth, and mobile number.
Step 5: After filling out the application, you will receive a message letting you know what to do next.
Step 6: Select "Continue with the PAN Application Form" from the drop-down menu.
Step 7: You will be redirected to a new page that requires you to enter your electronic KYC.
Step 8: Decide whether you require a physical PAN card and enter your Aadhaar number's last four digits.
Step 9: Fill out the form's following section with your personal information, contact information, and other details.
Step 10: Fill out this section of the form by entering your AO Type, area code, and other information. These specifics are also available in the tab below.
Step 11: The paperwork submission and declaration are the last two sections of the form.
Step 12: To submit the application, enter the first 8 numbers of your PAN card. You will be able to view your finished form. If no changes are needed, click Proceed.
Step 13: To use Aadhaar OTP for verification, choose the e-KYC option. Select Aadhaar in all fields for identity proof, Address, and Date of Birth, then click Proceed to continue.
Step 14: You will be forwarded to the payment section, where you must make a payment using a demand draft, net banking, a debit card, or a credit card.
Step 15: After a successful payment, a receipt will be generated. Select Continue.
Step 16: Tick the declaration and choose "Authenticate" for Aadhaar authentication.
Step 17: After you click "Continue with e-KYC," an OTP will be delivered to the mobile phone number associated with your Aadhaar account.
Step 18: Fill up the form and enter the OTP.
Step 19: At this point, choose "Continue with e-Sign" and then enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number. The cellphone number linked to Aadhaar will receive an OTP.
Step 20: Enter your OTP and submit the form to receive an acknowledgement sheet in pdf format with your birthdate as the password in the format of DDMMYYYY.
If you want to apply for a PAN card offline via NSDL, you need to follow the below steps:
Step 1: Access the NSDL website by logging in.
Step 2: Download Form 49A if you're an Indian citizen, or Form 49AA if you're a foreign citizen, by clicking "Apply Online" after that.
Step 3: Carefully complete the form, upload all necessary files, including a passport-sized photo, and pay the NSDL PAN card charge.
Step 4: Take a printout of the 15-digit acknowledgement number after that, then sign it. Along with the identity proof or authorisation proof, include a passport-sized photograph.
Step 5: Send the Demand Draft and all of the aforementioned paperwork to the NSDL office as soon as possible.
