How to Add Money to PhonePe Wallet Using Your Credit Card

Learn how to add money from a credit card, ways to link our card to the app, and more!

Just follow these quick steps to get started:

  1. Open the PhonePe app and tap on your profile picture

  2. Under the ‘Payment Methods’ option and select ‘PhonePe Wallet’

  3. Enter the amount you wish to add to your wallet

  4. Proceed by selecting credit card as the payment mode

  5. Click on the ‘Top Up Wallet’ and proceed with the transaction 

To complete the process, you need to authenticate it.

Note: You can only add funds to your PhonePe wallet if you have complied with KYC requirements.

How to add Your Credit Card to PhonePe

When you add a credit card to PhonePe, it simplifies your financial transactions. Here’s how you can go about it:

  1. Open the PhonePe app on your smartphone

  2. Navigate to ‘View All Payment Methods’ within the ‘Payment Methods’ section

  3. Click ‘Add New’ under the ‘Debit/Credit Cards’ section

  4. Enter your credit card number, unique verification number, validity, and other relevant details

Once done, provide the OTP set to your registered mobile number. Finally, click on ‘Confirm’ and add your credit card to your PhonePe application. 

How to add Your Credit Card with UPI Through PhonePe

You can add your credit card on PhonePe using two methods, saving your card details or linking it directly. From June 2022, RBI permitted RuPay credit cardholders to link their cards with the UPI interface for a faster payment experience. You can get this done easily on PhonePe.

Linking RuPay Credit Card with UPI 

Follow these steps to link your card with UPI on the PhonePe app:

  1. Tap on the ‘Payment Methods’ category on the app’s home screen

  2. Select the ‘RuPay Credit Card’ category and choose the issuing bank

  3. Provide the last 6 digits of your credit card and hit the ‘Set up PIN’ button

  4. Enter the OTP sent on your registered mobile number 

  5. Enter the 4 or 6-digit PIN twice and proceed ahead to link your card with UPI 

How to Pay Credit Card Bills Through the PhonePe App

Apart from making quick payments, you can repay your credit card dues through the PhonePe app. Here is how:

  1. Open the PhonePe app on your smartphone

  2. Head to ‘Recharge and Pay Bills’ and select ‘Credit Card’

  3. Enter your card number, valid through date, along with the CVV and select ‘Confirm’

  4. Click on ‘Pay Bill’ after you enter the bill amount

This way, you can easily clear your credit card dues using the PhonePe app.
