  • Odisha Day

  • Babu Jagjivan Ram Jayanti

Telangana celebrates the birth anniversary of Babu Jagjivan Ram as a public holiday. He was the first Union Minister of Labour and the former Deputy Prime Minister. The year 2024 will mark the 117th birth anniversary of the towering political leader and freedom fighter.

  • Jamat-ul-Vida

Jamat-ul-Vida falls on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramzan and before the grand celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr. Being the last Friday of Ramzan, it is also known as Alvida Jumma.

  • Eid-ul- Fitr

Eid-ul-Fitr marks the end of the holy month of Ramzan, which Muslims commemorate with grand celebrations. The exact date of Eid-ul-Fitr depends on the sighting of the new moon.

  • Vaisakhi

Also called Baisakhi, it is the spring festival celebrated by Sikhs and Punjabis. In 1699, Guru Gobind Singh, the last Guru of the Sikh faith, chose this harvest festival to celebrate the birth of Khalsa. It usually occurs on April 13 or April 14 every year.

  • Vishu

  • Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Jayanti

April 14 marks the birth anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the father of the Indian Constitution and the first Union Minister of Law. India will commemorate his 133rd birth anniversary in the year 2024.  

  • Bahag Bihu
