Maharashtra Ration Card

The Ration card is an important document that is offered by the State Government. It enables eligible persons to avail essential commodities at a subsidized rate. When applying for a Maharashtra Ration Card, you will have to submit the following documents:

• Aadhaar Card
• Details of your gas connection
• Utility Bills
• Certificate of income
• Receipt for house rent
• Bank passbook
• Photographs of the applicant
• Pan Card
• Passport

To apply for a Maharashtra Ration Card, follow these steps:

• Step 1 - Visit the official site of the Government of Maharashtra - Food, Civil, Supplies and Consumer Protection Department.
• Step 2 – Click on the download tab that is located on the left side of the webpage
• Step 3 – Now click on the ‘Form 1 – application for a new ration card’ link.
• Step 4 – Print the form. Fill in all the necessary details and ensure that you recheck the same for accuracy.
• Step 5 – You must attach all the requested documents to support your application. Once ready, you must submit the same to the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department.

At the department office, you must affix a ₹2 stamp during the submission of your form.

• Step 1 - Visit the official site of the Government of Maharashtra - Food, Civil, Supplies and Consumer Protection Department.
• Step 2 – Click on the Transparency tab that is located on the left side of the webpage
• Step 3 – The page will get redirected. Once done, click on ‘Allocation Generation Status’.
• Step 4 – Enter the requested details pertaining to your Ration Card before clicking on ‘Proceed’.
• Step 5 – You can then view the status of your application.

You can use the official Government of Maharashtra website to make name changes in the Ration Card.

• Step 1 - Visit the official site of the Government of Maharashtra - Food, Civil, Supplies and Consumer Protection Department.
• Step 2 – Click on the Download tab that is located on the left side of the webpage.
• Step 3 – Then, download ‘Form 14 – Change in the ration card’.
• Step 4 – Print the form and feed in the requested details.
• Step 5 – You must submit the form to the Food, Civil, Supplies and Consumer Protection Department.

Once assessed, the requested correction to details will be updated in the Ration Card. 

Depending on your income level, you can apply for the yellow card, the saffron card or the white card. Remember that you have to be a resident of the state to be eligible for the card.
