A ration card is a vital document issued by the different state governments in India. Apart from this, a ration card also functions as a proof of identity and address. Just like any other state government of India, the government of West Bengal also issues ration cards.

To check the list of all ration card holders in West Bengal follow the below steps-
Step 1: Visit the official website of Egiye Bangla wbpds.wb.gov.in, Ration Card Life Cycle Management hosted by the West Bengal Government’s Department of Food and Supplies.
Step 2: Once on the page, you will be able to see the district-wise information pertaining to all ration cardholders in West Bengal.
The eligibility criteria and provisions for the different types of ration cards available in West Bengal are listed below:
Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) Cards - This particular variant of ration card is issued to individuals who do not have a stable source of income and live way below the state-specific poverty line. AAY card holders are entitled to 15 kgs of rice and 19kgs of atta or 20 kgs of wheat per family member per month.
Priority Household (PHH) Ration Cards - PHH ration cards are issued to households that fall just under the state-specific poverty line. Every household that possesses a PHH ration card in West Bengal is entitled to 2kgs rice and 2.85kgs of atta or 3kgs of wheat, per ration card per month
State Priority Household (SPHH) Ration Cards - Such cards are only issued to those citizens who need treatment due to some serious form of illness but come under the Non-Priority Household Ration Card category. SPHH cardholders get the same kinds of benefits as a PHH ration cardholder in terms of provisions.
Raja Khadya Suraksha Yojana I and II (RKSY I and II) Ration Cards - These ration cards are issued to the most financially underserved residents of West Bengal. RKSY I ration cardholders are entitled to 2kgs of rice and 3kgs of wheat per head per month. RKSY II ration cardholders, on the other hand, are issued 1kg of rice and 1 kg of wheat per head per month.
In order to apply for a WB Ration Card, one must submit the following documents:
PAN card
Previous electricity bills
Income certificates
Caste/category certificate
Bank passbook and a photocopy of the first page
Details of your gas connection
Passport-size photograph of family members residing in the house
Apart from this, the person also needs to provide a mobile number to apply for a WB Ration Card.
If you opt for offline mode, then you must follow the steps given below:
Step 1: If you want to apply for the West Bengal ration card offline, you must visit your nearest Seva Kendra or a ration shop with all the required documents as proof.
Step 2: You would need to then submit them to the relevant officials with a duly-filled copy of your ration card application form.
Step 3: You can either get the ration card application form from the Seva Kendra or the ration shop or download a copy from the internet.
Step 4: If your documents have been verified and found to be correct, your ration card will be mailed to the address provided by you within a month.
To check the status of the West Bengal ration card follow the below steps-
Step 1: Visit the official website wbpds.wb.gov.in
Step 2: Select your municipality, district and form type.
Step 3: Enter your 16-digit application number or the last 8 digits of the same.
Step 4: Next, click on ‘Search’ to view the status of your West Bengal ration card application.
To download your West Bengal ration card online, you must follow below steps-
Step 1: Visit the official website of the West Bengal Department of Food and Supplies.
Step 2: Select the option called ‘Official Purpose’.
Step 3: Click on the ‘Official Login’ option
Step 4: Enter your User ID and password, and answer the security question.
Step 5: Click on the ‘Login’ option.
Step 6: After completing the above steps, you will be shown your ration card details. You will also see an option of saving it in a PDF format so that you can print it and use it.
Step 1: First, you will need to print the West Bengal ration card correction form from nadia.gov.in and then fill it out.
Step 2: Post this, you would need to go to your nearest Seva Kendra or Ration Shop and submit it along with the relevant documents.
Step 3: Once your documents have been verified, you will receive a new ration card with your updated name within the given timeframe.
Step 1: To change the address on your West Bengal ration card, will need to download the form and print it from nadia.gov.in, duly fill in the relevant details and attach the required documents as proof.
Step 2: After that, you must visit your nearest Seva Kendra or Ration Shop and submit them.
Step 3: Once the documents have been successfully verified, a new ration card with the updated address will be mailed to you.
