AAY card holders are entitled to 15 kgs of rice and 19kgs of atta or 20 kgs of wheat per family member per month.

  • Priority Household (PHH) Ration Cards - PHH ration cards are issued to households that fall just under the state-specific poverty line. Every household that possesses a PHH ration card in West Bengal is entitled to 2kgs rice and 2.85kgs of atta or 3kgs of wheat, per ration card per month

SPHH cardholders get the same kinds of benefits as a PHH ration cardholder in terms of provisions.

  • Raja Khadya Suraksha Yojana I and II (RKSY I and II) Ration Cards - These ration cards are issued to the most financially underserved residents of West Bengal. RKSY I ration cardholders are entitled to 2kgs of rice and 3kgs of wheat per head per month. RKSY II ration cardholders, on the other hand, are issued 1kg of rice and 1 kg of wheat per head per month.

How to Apply for a Ration Card Online in West Bengal?

  • Step 1: Visit the official website of the West Bengal - wbpds.wb.gov.in

  • Step 2: Click on the ‘Application Form for Non-Subsidised Ration Card or Conversion to Non-Subsidised Ration Card’ on the homepage.

  • Step 3: Enter your mobile number on the new page.

  • Step 4: Validate with the One Time Password (OTP) received on your mobile number.

  • Step 5: The page that will follow will ask you if you are an existing ration cardholder or applying for a new one. Choose the option that suits your case best. Note that you must select the former option if you want to convert your digital ration card into a non-subsidised one.

 

Here are the steps you would need to follow for each of the options:

1. For Existing Ration Card Holders:

  • Step 1: You will need to add data regarding your geography and your contact information. After that, you will need to add your own ration card number. Then, click on ‘DISPLAY’ to view the list of your family members.

  • Step 2: You can either convert the digitized ration cards of all of your family members into non-subsidised ones or for only some of them. After you have selected the family members, you must click on ’View Selected List’.

  • Step 3: On the page that will follow, you will have to enter the date of birth, the Aadhaar Number and the Elector’s Photo Identity Card (EPIC) number (If applicable) and the PAN card numbers of the selected ration cardholders. Do the needful and then click on ‘Save and View’ to proceed.

  • Step 4: Finally, you will be shown a page that will ask you to verify the provided information and then check on the declaration. The process will come to completion once you see a confirmation message on the screen of your device.

2. For New Ration Card Applicants:

  • Step 1: Enter information related to your location and the type of ration card you are applying for. You will also have to enter details related to your local Fair Price Shop dealer as well.

  • Step 2: After that, on the next page, you will have to add details such as your Aadhaar Card number, PAN number and EPIC number (if available) and then add details regarding your parents. After that, you must click on ‘View Member’ to move on. If you are the head of your family, you must select ‘Head’ under the relationship category and then add relevant details about your family and then click on the ‘View Member’ option.

  • Step 3: After completing the above-mentioned step, you will need to click on ‘Save and View Application’.

  • Step 4: Finally, you can complete the application process after verifying the entered details and then check the declaration. The process can be considered complete once you see a confirmation message on your screen.

If you opt for offline mode, then you must follow the steps given below:
