Know how RERA assists homebuyers in Madhya Pradesh
Madhya Pradesh's Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) is responsible for overseeing and regulating the real estate industry within the state. This statutory body brings transparency to transactions and protects the interests of homebuyers with the aim of timely completion of real estate projects.
Here are the details of these charges as set by MP RERA, which depend on the type of project:

All real estate projects within Madhya Pradesh have to register with the Real Estate Regulatory Authority. Here are the steps:
Visit the official website of the MP RERA at https://www.rera.mp.gov.in/
Click on the ‘Registration’ section in the dashboard on the top and select the ‘Project Registration’ option
Go through the instructions and click on ‘Proceed’
Enter the promoter details, project details, and bank details of the project
Pay the applicable fee as per the project category
Attach the necessary documents and submit the registration form
The RERA will then review and approve your registration, after which they will assign the project a unique registration number
When registering a project relevant paperwork is required. This includes:
Details of the registration under the ‘Promoter Details’ section
In the case of a company/firm, passport photographs of the Chairman, Director, and all the members of the board
In the case of a company/firm, the Aadhaar and PAN cards of the Chairman, Director, and all the members of the board
Authenticated copy of the profit and loss statement, balance sheet, audited reports, and the Income Tax Returns of the last three years
Authenticated copy of the legal title deed and other relevant documents, such as a non-encumbrance certificate from the revenue authority
Details of the land dues
In case the promoter is not the owner of the land, details of the consent/collaboration/development agreement between the promoter and the owner
A certified copy of the approval and commencement certificate from an acceptable authority
Plan of the developmental work on the proposed land
Details of the location and clear demarcation of the project
Allotment letter, agreement for sale, and conveyance documents
Number, types, and carpet areas of the apartments to be sold under the project and the number of open parking areas
Names of contractors, architects, and structural engineers
Declaration in Form B, supported by an affidavit
After registering the project on the RERA website, hard copies of the following documents are needed:
Form B1 – Khasra
An original copy of an affidavit for a new project
Original copy of the Declaration in Form B supported an affidavit
Approved layout plan from Town and Country Planning Organisation (TNCP)
Approved building plan from a competent authority
Yes, as per the powers conferred under the RERA Act of 2016, the Madhya Pradesh Government has notified its rules and implemented them since 2017.

To register a complaint, visit the official website of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority of Madhya Pradesh. Select the ‘Complaints’ section and choose the ‘File Complaint (Form M/N – Section 40)’ category.
Select the complaint type, enter your complaint, and pay a fee of ₹1,000 to complete the registration process.
To search for new or ongoing real estate projects on the MP Real Estate, follow this process. Select the ‘Projects’ section and choose the ‘All Projects’ option. You can search for a project either by entering its name or selecting the project type and district name.
