1. The applicant must be at least 16 years old for a non-geared motorcycle.

2. The applicant must be at least 18 years old for a light motor vehicle.

4. To drive a commercial vehicle, the individual must have studied and passed the examinations until 8th grade.

6. A fee of Rs. 151 for the application and Rs. 50 for the test are paid.

The UP learning licence can be obtained through a series of steps either through an online portal or offline itself.

 

1.Online Application:

 

Follow these steps:

• You can visit either of these two websites: UP Transport Department http://uptransport.upsdc.gov.in/en-us/ or the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways https://parivahan.gov.in/parivahan/.

• Go to the drop-down tab under online services and click on “Driving Licence Related Services” or for the UP transport department website click on “New Learning Licence”.

• For the MRTH website, you will be redirected to a separate page asking for which state you’re applying for your licence in

• Fill in the required details after reading carefully and upload your documents

• The application fee can be paid online through the method of your choice

• Opt for a slot to take your driving test and visit your nearest RTO for the same

• Once you pass the test, the UP learning licence will be issued to the address that was registered

 

2.Offline Application:
