Haryana Driving Licence

As is applicable in every other state in India, to drive in Haryana, you must possess a valid driver’s licence.

 

If you wish to secure a driving licence in Haryana, you must be at least 18 years of age and must be well versed with the traffic laws in the state. Additionally, you must possess a learner’s licence which is at least 30 days old and not older than 180 days.

RTOs in Haryana

Here is a quick look at a few RTOs in Haryana

In Haryana, the driving test is conducted in the presence of a Motor Vehicle Inspector at the applicant’s local RTO. The driving test is conducted with the applicant’s own vehicle, and the vehicle class must be the same as the one put down on the application form.

 

• Test for Two or Three-Wheeler

This test typically requires the applicant to drive the vehicle on a track in figure 8 in the indicated area without their feet touching the ground, and without brushing against the side rails. If this test is cleared, the road test is approached. At this stage, the applicant is required to ride a certain distance on the road following all traffic rules and regulations.

• Test for Four Wheeler

This test is similar to the previous one, the applicants are asked to drive in an H, while avoiding obstacles in their course. Upon clearing this, the applicant can then proceed to the road test which follows the same rules and regulations. If the applicant fails the test, they can retake it a week later after paying a nominal fee.

• Open up the Sarathi website (https://sarathi.parivahan.gov.in/sarathiservice/stateSelection.do)

• Select the state of ‘Haryana’ from the menu

• Select ‘Application Status’ option in the menu

• Enter your application number and birth date to get the application status

In order to get an international driving license in Haryana, you can head to your nearest RTO to apply for the permit. Here are the documents you have to submit to the RTO when applying for an international driving licence

 

• Nationality proof

• Attested copy of the permanent driving license, visa and passport

• Attested copy of a residence proof

• 5 passport-sized photos

• Medical Form 1-A

 

Here are the steps you can follow to apply for the permit online:

 

• Visite the National Portal, and select your state

• On the following page, under the ‘Driver Licence’ tab select ‘Apply Online’

• Next, choose ‘Services on Driving License’ and follow the given instructions. .

 

You can also apply for an international driver licence in Haryana offline, by visiting the RTO, filling out the application form 4A, and attaching the required documents. You will be required to pay a certain fee for the same. Note that you will not need to take a driving test.

In case your licence gets damaged, you lose your driver licence or it is stolen, you can approach the RTO or apply online for a duplicate copy of your driving licence. The documents required are as follows:

 

• Application form LLD

• If your DL was stolen, you will need a copy of the FIR

• Form 1

• Copies of both Age Proof and Address Proof documents

• Original licence’s Photocopy

• If the License is stolen then the License number is to be provided

 

These must be attested copies of the documents.

 

Follow these steps if you need to apply for a Duplicate Driving Licence in Haryana. -

 

• Step 1: Fill out the form and attach the document photocopies

• Step 2: Submit your form at the RTO and pay Rs. 200 fee

• Step 3: Once verified, you will receive a copy of your licence on that very day.
