Go to the official portal of Maharashtra Transport Department https://transport.maharashtra.gov.in/
Download the application form, under the driving licence menu. The applicant will have to get a printout of the application form.
Fill the form with all details and attach the documents required.
Find the closest RTO and submit the application form along with the mandated documents to the official.
Book a slot for your driving test at the RTO.
On the designated date, appear for the test. After passing the test, the applicant will receive their driving licence in 2-3 weeks.

Select the ‘Driving licence’ or ‘Learner licence’ option
On the next window, select ‘Know your Application status’
Enter the application form number and click submit.
The status of the driving licence will appear on the screen.
Go to the official portal of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways
Select ‘Driving licence-related services’ and click on the ‘verify status’ tab.
Enter the application form number and date of birth.
Fill the captcha and click submit

To get an international driving licence, you do not have to give any test but it is a must for you to have a permanent driving licence in Mumbai. You only have to fill the application form and submit it with the required documents.

Pay the charges of Rs. 1,000 to the concerned official.
