The Regional Transport Office (RTO) in Odisha is a key authority that regulates and manages transport-related activities across the state. From registering vehicles to issuing driving licences, the RTO ensures that road laws are followed, and safety standards are maintained.
Additionally, the Odisha RTO plays a critical role in tax collection, permit issuance, and enforcing measures to control pollution, all of which contribute to a more organised and secure traffic system.
Odisha is divided into multiple RTO zones, each with its unique code to ensure efficient traffic management.
