  • Step 1: Log on to the official portal of the Delhi Online Registration System at https://eval.delhigovt.nic.in/

  • Step 2: Enter the relevant details, such as the location of your sub-registrar office, locality and deed name, as per your requirement 

  • Step 3: After filling in the details, you can check the stamp duty charges

 

Once you submit these details, you will see the amount that you must pay as stamp duty in Delhi. However, when computing the charge, note several factors to be taken into consideration.

Procedure to Pay Stamp Duty in Delhi and Registration Charges Online

  • Step 1: Visit the official website of the Stock Holding Corporation of India

  • Step 2: Choose the ‘NCT of Delhi’ option from the state list drop-down menu

  • Step 3: Pay the stamp duty through UPI/Credit Card/Debit Card/NEFT, etc.
     

You can pay the stamp duty through cash by visiting the authorised collection centre of the Stock Holding Corporation of India. Visit the office of the sub-registrar for the registration process after making the payment.

Refund Process

You can claim a refund of your stamp duty in Delhi in case of excess payment or cancellation of the deed. However, the refund window is open only for 6 months from the stamp duty payment date. 

 

Note that the authorities will deduct 10% from the total amount paid and refund the remaining amount. You can write an application to the Collector of Stamp (HQ) office, Sham Nath Marg, Delhi.

  • Step 4: Attach grievance-related documents in a PDF format not exceeding 2MB in size, if any (You can scan the document with a scanner)

  • Step 5: Select your locality for your grievance

  • Step 6: Provide your name, mobile number, email and address to proceed or to track the status of your grievance

  • Step 7: Type in the text as visible in the ‘Visual Image’ section , and click on ‘Submit’

  • Step 8: Enter the Grievance Number and your mobile number or email ID to get the details
