For Trip Delay - If the delay is more than 6 hours, the insured must contact the authorities of the concerned airlines, lodge a complaint and obtain a PIR (Property Irregularity Report) report from them.
For Missed Connections - If the delay exceeds the specified time limit mentioned in your insurance plan and this results in a missed connection, please contact the authorities of the concerned airlines, lodge a complaint and obtain a PIR (Property Irregularity Report) report from them.

1. Cancellation of Policy before Start Date - Premature
You must inform the insurance company in writing/e-mail requesting cancellation of the policy. The e-mail should contain the policy/schedule number.
A cancellation fee of Rs. 250/- will be charged.
2. Cancellation of Policy after the Start Date – If the Insured has not traveled
You must inform the insurance company in writing/e-mail requesting cancellation of the policy. The e-mail should contain the policy/schedule number along with the following details.
Proof that the he/she has not traveled overseas.
Photocopy or scanned copy of passport (all pages including ones that are blank).
Visa rejection letter in the event visa refusal by the respective embassy.
Based on the approval of the underwriters, the policy will be cancelled within one working day after receiving an email and the required documents from the insured.
3. Cancellation of Policy after the Start Date – If the Insured has traveled
In case of any early return of the insured person prior to expiry of the policy period, the company will refund premium at the rates shown in below table (subject to no claims being incurred on the policy). To know the percentage of premium to be retained by the insurer, refer to the table below.

Send an email requesting the cancellation of the policy.
Mention your policy number or the schedule number to proceed.
Note: Cancellation charges of INR 250 have to be paid by you.
Present documents that prove you have not travelled to a foreign country.
Scanned copies of all the passport pages (including the empty ones).
Reason for the policy cancellation.
Visa rejection letter in case the embassy has rejected your visa.
Upon approval, we will cancel the policy within one working day after receiving your email and all the necessary documents.
If the student returns to India before the expiration of the policy, the premiums will be retained as follows -
