The CPP FoneSafe Lite insurance plan covers the cost of repairs or replacement due to unexpected mechanical or technical breakdown of your device.

• Accidental Screen Damage

This insurance plan safeguards your device against any liquid and accidental damages for one year.

• File Two Claims in a Year

The CPP FoneSafe Lite plan allows you to file up to 2 claims within a year worth up to 100% of the invoice value of the device.

Under the CPP FoneSafe mobile phone insurance plan, you are required to bear a standard deductible as per the cost of your devices. Here are the details regarding deductibles charged concerning handset value:

1. These deductibles are only applicable for repair cases. Depreciation is not applicable for such repair cases.

2. Depreciation is only applicable for cases of total loss. Deductibles are not applicable in such cases.

Here are all the exclusions of the Fonesafe Lite (Mobile Screen Insurance):

• Damage or loss to a part that falls under manufacturer warranty or guarantee.

• Damage or loss arising due to mishandling of the device.

• Replacement of any consumable part of the device, such as bulbs, batteries, belts, tapes, etc.

• Damage or loss due to an external cause, such as fire, theft, etc.

• Failure of such parts that are subject to recall by the device’s manufacturer.

• If the owner uses the device for rental, commercial or the purpose of profit generation.

• Damage or loss due to overloading or overstraining of the appliance.

• Damage or loss arising due to regular wear and tear.

• If the ownership of the device changes.

In case of any damages to your device, you can register a claim by visiting the official CPP claim management portal: https://www.cppwebservices.in/Claim/CONSUMER/Login.aspx. 

Following are the steps to proceed with an online claim on the CPP claim management:

1. Use your registered mobile number to log in to the CPP portal and enter the OTP.

2. To make a fresh claim, click on ‘Create Claim’, provide the incident details, and the date and click on ‘Create Claim’.

3. You will get a Service Request Number (SRN) through SMS and email.

4. Visit a service centre that is approved by the device’s brand to get it repaired.

5. After you have visited the service centre, sign in to the CPP portal mentioned above and submit relevant documents.

6. Fill up the form against your SRN or Membership number and submit the bill of repair along with a copy of the cancelled cheque to proceed.

7. Download the papers and fill in the NEFT or Bank Mandate Form, Insurer Claim Form, and Statement Incident Form.

8. Click on ‘Print Address’ and attach this printout to the envelope with the physical documents.
