Odisha Ration Card

The Odisha ration card can be used as a proof of identity or as a proof of address. Most financial institutions (banks and NBFCs) accept ration cards as proof of identity and address for loan applications or even for opening a deposit account.

• Step 1: Visit the official website of the Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare Department of Odisha - foododisha.in

• Step 2: Click on ‘Beneficiaries list of NFSA 2013’

• Step 3: A new page opens. Click on ‘NFSA Cards & Beneficiaries’

• Step 4: Enter your district, block, and FPS on the page that opens next.

• Step 5: Now click on “Get Report”. The list of all the ration cards issued in your area shall be displayed.

There are three types of ration cards issued in the state of Odisha. The type of ration card issued to a citizen depends on their relevant income group. The types and the number of subsidies available for an individual/family also differ as different income groups require varied government assistance to buy essential commodities. • You must be a permanent citizen of the state of Odisha

• You or any of your immediate family members must not be in possession of any other ration card issued by the state

You need to furnish the following set of documents while applying for a ration card in the state of Odisha:

• Proof of address

• Authorised bank passbook

• Passport-size photograph

• Aadhaar card as proof of identity

• Certificate of income

• Recent photographs of all family members

• Receipt of suspension/cancellation (applicable on transfer)

• Step 2: Click on ‘Click here to Apply’ and then on ‘Apply New Card’

• Step 3: Enter all the required information like address, FPS (Fair Price Shop)*, details of family members of applicant and more

• Step 4: Click on ‘Save’

• Step 5: Download the form, take a print out and attach the documents you are required to submit for the card

• Step 6: Once you have filled out the form and attached all the required documents, you can submit this form to the nearest taluk supply office (TSO)

• Step 7: Once you have submitted the application, it can take up to 30 days for verification and delivery of the new ration card to your address

*FPS is a government-authorised retail outlet in India that provide essential commodities like rice, wheat, sugar, and other items at subsidised rates to eligible households, particularly those holding ration cards

• Step 1: Visit the official website of the Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Department of the Government of Odisha foododisha.in

• Step 2: Click on “NFSA Card & Beneficiary” on the homepage of the site

• Step 3: A new page will open in a new window. Select your District, Block, and FPS Name on the new page

• Step 4: Now, click on “Get Report”

• Step 5: A list of all the beneficiaries in your district and block will show up. You can select your card number to check the status of your Ration Card.

Follow the steps to add or delete your family members’ name from the ration card in Odisha:

Add a Member:

• Visit the official website http://www.foododisha.in/index.htm

• Click on ‘‘Click here to Apply’

• Click on ‘Addition of Member’. Choose the section either from the block NFSA or SFSS 

• Enter your ration card number and click on ‘Get Details’

• Now fill in the details of the member like name, relationship with the applicant

• Upload the required identity, address proof and along with any other necessary documents

Delete a Member:

• Visit the http://www.foododisha.in/index.htm

• Click on ‘‘Click here to Apply’

• Click on ‘Delete Member’ from the section ‘NFSA’ or ‘SFSS’ 

• On the next page, type your ration card number and click on ‘Get Details’

• Enter the members’ details like name, relationship with the applicant

• Submit all the required documents
